The College Green Masterplan site is a key town centre area incorporating Croydon College, Fairfield Halls and the Croydon Magistrates Court within its boundaries. The vision for the masterplan is to develop a learning and cultural quarter with a mixture of residential, retail and leisure uses. The aim is to create a vibrant, sustainable environment that establishes College Green as the destination for entertainment and creativity for Croydon and South London.

The new cultural and learning quarter will be founded on Croydon College providing the 'learning' element and Fairfield Halls - the main performance venue in Croydon - providing the 'cultural' element within the site. The masterplan supports and enhances these two offers and develops a connection across to the established civic heart of Queen's Gardens, the Town Hall and Clocktower Complex.

Strategic objectives
  • High quality, well designed built environment with mixed uses forming a southern gateway to the town centre
  • Vibrant, sustainable destination for living, learning and culture
